📜 UP Police Constable Merit List 2025: Key Rules & Tie-Breaker Policy
The final merit list is based on written exam scores, as the physical test was only qualifying in nature.
If two or more candidates have the same score, the following tie-breaker rules apply:
1️⃣ Candidates with an NCC ‘B’ certificate or DOEACC ‘O’ Level certificate will get priority.
2️⃣ Those with two years of Territorial Army service will be ranked higher.
3️⃣ If still tied, the older candidate (higher age) will be ranked higher.
4️⃣ If scores, certifications, and age are the same, the candidate whose name appears first alphabetically (based on 10th-grade certificate) will be ranked higher.
👉 Important: UPPBPB has not released any waiting list, meaning only selected candidates will proceed to training.
